Founder & Associates
Pocket is led by Lucy Bawden, a cultural producer and programmer with over 18 years’ experience delivering public art and place-based cultural projects internationally.
Her approach is grounded in collaboration, practical delivery, and respect for creativity.
We work with a small, trusted group of specialist associates — including environmental and sustainability experts, social value and community engagement consultants, public art and communications specialists, and artists — assembled to suit each project and place.
This agile model allows the consultancy to remain hands-on, responsive, and closely connected to the work
What's in the Pocket - our focus.
Our name ‘Pocket’ originated from the saying 'in this pocket of the city’, referring to a special place, a neighbourhood, or community.
The word 'pocket' conjures up for us a sense of intimacy and trust, something personal and special, with the idea of closeness, being understood and belonging...
Our work is shaped by place and guided relationships. Alongside cultural programming and public art, we have a particular interest in:
- environmental and ecological thinking
- water, wellbeing, and blue/green spaces
- social value and meaningful community engagement
